In 2014 Joe Knight from One Ocean International & Fiona Duncan Pilates teamed up to bring you OCEAN FIT Camps.

This is a course for any ocean loving female or male!

We designed Ocean Fit to combine the skills of Joe Knight’s waterman(woman)ship training and Fiona Duncan’s Pilates to offer our clients the chance to become and all rounded fitter, stronger & more knowledgeable ocean minded lover! This course is for the recreational ocean goer or the charger looking to really step up a level!

We cover aspects of Pilates practical for you to gain better body awareness and control, strength to have more power in the ocean, also more flexibility within your body! Joe’s Waterman(women)ship training will help you gain more understanding of your bodies ability to maintain an increased level of C02 while under the water! How to manage this and ways to train so you are better equipt mentally and physically for the ocean and the array of conditions you will endure as an ocean loving person! Whether you are a surfer, swimmer, stand up paddler, free diver, snorkeler, diver or fisherman, education and preparation are all essential in gaining more from your sport!

One of my Favourite teachers @the_pilates_journal One of my Favourite teachers @the_pilates_journal eXpO in Sydney this weekend said that Pilates came to her at a time in her life when things were a bit rocky, I felt emotions rise as I thought back to when I was introduced to the method, I was totally broken, broken body from a career in snowboarding on crutches & a broken heart as-well, unresolved issues. However what was a first time on a reformer w Ness @vanessavettepilates soon became my medicine to get me back on track walking again & comfortable to continue sports & my work. Soon I decided to train to become a teacher w @polestarpilatesnz & @mfpilates as my guide/mentor as well as many others. 
Fast forward I still teach Pilates it’s now 18 years since that first time introduced to Pilates, I now am diploma level certified & love continuing my education. 
This weekend being immersed with so many other passionate teachers & amazing speakers was incredible, so much to digest. 

Pilates with Rhythm & flow will help you arrive in a ‘flow state’ which I liken to riding a great wave, taking a good line on the mountain. The synergies with our body mind & spirit, can all be found with a good pilates practise. 

I genuinely love teaching pilates, and I love sharing this method w so many people I teach & help. It was so awesome to chat to other teachers at the eXpO & especially Ness & Keely from Gisborne NZ. Thanks so much @the_pilates_journal for a fantastic weekend.

Getting inspo from @johngannontraining 8 week chal Getting inspo from @johngannontraining 8 week challenge - this exercise is in our program which is very similar to the traditional exercise Snake in the repertoire, the challenge is on the ground, but here I use a light spring for assistance & resistance to control the trunk & challenge the obliques 🤪 do each side 4-6 times, you will feel soooooo good & go sloooooooow.
